6. Repairs/maintenance
ATTENTION!
Always pull out the mains plug before starting maintenance and repair work.
Inspection of the electrical system:
Check the power cable regularly for damages. Remove the housing regularly (at least
once a year) and check the internal wiring for bare conductors, loose fastenings and
discolouration. Take out damaged cables if necessary and repair them . Do not take
the ventilator apart for maintenance purposes. The ventilator is maintenance free. Only
replace the special screws and base plates as well as ventilator parts with original
HEYLO spare parts.
Clean air inlets:
Clean the ventilators regularly to remove accumulated dust and dirt particles. Fluff and
other dirt accumulated in the air inlet must be removed. Remove fluff and dust from the
blower wheel, motor and side covers with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air.
Clean the housing:
Clean the housing with a mild detergent and water. Re-instate the original shine with
vinyl cleaners and polish, e.g. those used for vehicle plastics. Do not use any solvents
(such as MEK, acetone) containing chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Checking the external parts:
Check the external components and make sure they are correctly installed. Pay
attention to unusual noises. Check the rubber base on the frame for worn out parts and
damages.
Motor and wiring must remain dry:
The turbo dryer cannot be cleaned with a water hose or pressure washing device to
avoid damage to the electrical components. If the electrical components still become
wet, they must be dried immediately.
