CALIBRATE THE SCANNER C.5
For the first time the scanner is mounted, the scanner calibration is required. Once done, the
calibration process is no more necessary.

Run the calibration
Once the scanner is detected, RDS proposes to run the calibration.
Select the script “Sphere with
reference method”. To recalibrate an existing scanner, in RDS Menu, select “Calibrate current
probe”.

Artefact Properties
1. The calibration sphere that has to be used should be placed at 50% of the measurement
volume.
2. When prompted, enter the diameter value
NOTICE
Do not use other artefact sphere than the provided one; it has been designed to give optimal
results.

Reference Sphere
3. Insert 15mm Ref Probe
4. Take 9 points on sphere with 15mm probe
5.
Check reference sphere results and “OK”

Use Scanner
6. Mount the scanner to calibrate.
For the scanner calibration, no need to adjust the exposure : a specific scanning
profile is automatically selected for the calibration sphere.
