There is a risk of injury if the Easys system starts up uninten-
tionally!
1. The power socket(s) or fuses required for supplying power to
the Easys system must be easily accessible.
2. Unplug the Easys system from the mains power supply in the
event of faults or malfunctions.
Improper or incorrect installation presents a risk of tripping
and falling over!
During assembly and installation or after repair work, ensure
correct component wiring. Avoid tripping hazards when wiring
the system and also ensure that cables do not come into contact
with moving parts.
When wiring, use standard fixing materials or consult the retailer
or manufacturer.
Furniture that is opened or left open, such as drawers, pre-
sent a risk of tripping and falling over!
Always operate the Easys system in the intended manner and pay
attention to opened furniture parts.
Check the Easys system at regular intervals and follow the advice
provided in the operating instructions in the event of malfuncti-
ons.
Incorrect or incomplete installation of the drawer or piece of
furniture presents a risk of injury!
Before putting the system into operation, check to make sure
that the drawer or piece of furniture is fully assembled. Drawers
must be fully engaged on their runners.
Also make sure that furniture is standing firmly. Furniture must
be level and fixed to the wall or floor to prevent it from tipping
over (particularly when drawers are open / laden).
Follow the furniture manufacturer's installation instructions
when installing the drawer or assembling the piece of furniture.
Overloaded or jammed drawers or pieces of furniture present
a risk of injury!
Drawers must not be overloaded and jammed. Observe the
product specifications for the drawer system used and check to
ensure smooth, easy action.
Risk of injury from electrical devices heating up!
Remember that electric devices heat up when they are in opera-
tion. For this reason, do not cover devices with objects, such as
textiles, and provide good ventilation.
3.2 Safety rules for servicing work
Before attempting installation and maintenance work as well as
repairs, the Easys system must be completely disconnected from
the mains power supply. Make sure this is the case by
• disconnecting the mains power plug from the power socket.
Do not pull the power supply unit's mains cable but pull the
mains plug or
• switch off the fuse(s) of the electrical installation.
3.3 Children at home
Please observe the following advice:
• Do not use the Easys system if infants aged 0-3 are present in
the home environment.
• Children from the age of 4 should be supervised and learn
how to use the Easys system.
• Children must only be allowed to operate the Easys System
unsupervised if the Easys system has been explained to them
in such a way that they are able to operate it safely. Children
must be able to recognise and understand potential dangers
of incorrect operation.
• Supervise children present in the vicinity of Easys operated
furniture parts. Never let children play in these areas.
• When playing, children can get entangled in packaging mate-
rial (e.g. plastic sheeting) or pull it over their heads and suffo-
cate. Keep packaging material out of the reach of children.
• Use the capability of adjusting your Easys operated furniture
parts to limit the opening force to any level you choose.
NOTE
Easys may only be used by persons (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or mental capacity or who lack the
necessary knowledge and/or experience under the supervision or
instruction of a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to make sure they do not play with
the tool.
