collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection
points for disposal.

Problem
Possible Reason

Espresso is cold.
• ESPRESSO pilot light was still on
when the button was pushed.
• Cups were not preheated.
• Wait for the pilot light to go off.
• Preheat the cups.
Espresso cream is light in colour
(espresso comes out quickly).
• The ground coffee has not been tam-
ped enough.
• There is not enough coffee in the fil-
ter.
• Coffee is not ground fine enough.
• Tamp the ground coffee more.
• Increase the quantity of coffee.
• Only use specially ground coffee.
Espresso cream is dark in colour
(espresso comes out slowly).
• Ground coffee is pressed too tightly.
• There is too much coffee in the filter.
• The coffee is too finely ground.
• Do not press too hard when tamping
the coffee.
• Fill in less coffee.
• Only use specially ground coffee.
Milk does not froth.
• ESPRESSO pilot light was not off.
• Milk is not cold enough.
• Steam nozzle is dirty.
• Wrong size and shape of container.
• Wait until pilot light is off.
• Always use milk at refrigerator tempe-
rature.
• Thoroughly clean the nozzle.
• Use a high and narrow cup.
