Oil temperature is crucial for deep frying. To avoid greasy, oil-saturated foods, the
oil temperature must be between the temperatures 170 °C and 190 °C / 340 °F
and 374 °F.
•
To cook more fried foods, add oil as required, set the temperature control knob
to the required temperature, wait until the oil ready light comes off before placing
the new food in the oil.
NOTE:
Recommended oils for frying are all vegetable oil, canola oil, peanut oil,
or grapeseed oil. We do not suggest frying with nut oils other than peanut oil.
NOTE:
Olive oil is a healthy oil with great flavor, but extra virgin olive oil has a low
smoking point and should not be used to deep fry at high temperatures unless it is
blended with vegetable oil.
NOTE:
Oil looks very dark after frying multiple times it is time to change it.
Change the oil after a maximum of 8 uses.
•
Never put cold water into the frying tank or frying basket. Sudden changes of
temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting in an uneven bottom. Let pieces
cool down on their own or place in lukewarm soapy water.
•
The lid and the housing of the compact deep fryer become very hot during
operation. Use oven gloves.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the frying basket right after use as it will be very hot.
Only hold the frying basket by the frying basket handles.
CAUTION:
Use extreme caution when moving/handling the product when oil is
extremely hot.
WARNING:
DO NOT place the frying basket on a countertop, as it will stain or
burn the countertop. Use a protective trivet.
WARNING:
Always unplug the product when not in use or when it will be left
unattended.
CLEANING & CARE
WARNING:
Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet and the oil
has completely cooled off before handling or cleaning the appliance.
FILTERING AND STORING THE OIL
NOTE:
Make sure the oil has completely cooled off before handling (at least 2 hours).
1. Remove the lid. (FIG.1)
2. Pour the oil from the pouring spout located at the back of the compact deep fryer
into a funnel lined with a cheesecloth or a coffee filter to catch debris. Store in a
airtight container in a dark and cool area. (FIG.3)
