Hema Navigator Explorer – PC Installation
Overview
The Hema Navigator Explorer Windows™ PC application enables you to view
the Hema maps that are on your HN7 NAVIGATOR on your Windows™ PC and
create and transfer data such as waypoints, routes and track files between the
device and your PC via the supplied mini USB cable.
The Hema Navigator Explorer application is located on the MicroSD card
located in the Hema NAVIGATOR HN7. This application will install the Hema
Navigator Explorer PC software and maps from your MicroSD card onto your
Windows™ PC via the mini USB cable (select Mass Storage mode on the
HN7).
To transfer data, your PC will need Windows Mobile Device Centre (Windows 7
and Vista) or Microsoft Active Sync (Windows XP) to be installed. See the
section on PC Connectivity
in this User Manual for further details.

Hema Navigator Explorer Installation
The software and maps can be installed onto your PC as follows:
1.
Power your HN7 ON
Tap
Settings
Tap
USB
2.
On the HN7, select
Mass Storage
mode.
Note: Skip this
step if HN7 is
already in
Mass
Storage
mode.
This is the pre-set
mode.
Tap
Save
3.
Connect the HN7 to your PC via the supplied Mini USB cable. The USB
connection screen will be displayed on the HN7. Note: Connection
may take a few minutes the first time. Do not attempt to format the
HN7 memory at any time.
4.
Windows™ 7 or Vista™ PC - click on the Windows™
Start Menu and click Computer.
For a Windows™ 8 PC - the File Explorer should launch
automatically and display the Hema-HN7 and Hema-SD
folders. If File Explorer does not auto run, Launch the
Desktop, click File Explorer.
