PN/CAN Gateway, PROFINET/CANopen Slave | Version 2 | 1/26/2021

If you need an EDS or DCF file specifically for your application, please contact us.  
We will be happy to create a suitable file for you. 

To transfer the file to the PN/CAN Gateway the software "EDS-DCF Uploader" and a USB cable with 
mini-USB connector is required. The software and the driver for the USB interface of the PN/CAN 
Gateway can be downloaded from the Helmholz website. 

After starting the "Uploader" the PN/CAN Gateway is searched and displayed via USB. 

With "Upload" the EDS file can be selected and uploaded. With "Load" the file name of the EDS file 
currently stored in the PN/CAN Gateway is displayed. 

 

 

Please disconnect all PROFINET plugs from the device and only reconnect them after the EDS file has 
been uploaded! 

After the upload, the EDS file is stored in the flash memory of the PN/CAN Gateway and will 
automatically interpreted and used during the starting phase. The PN/CAN-Gateway is now ready for 
operation. 

Next, the PN/CAN Gateway must be configured in the PROFINET PLC.
