•
Keep combustible materials such as drapes and other furnishings at least 2 metres from the front, sides,
and rear of the heater.
•
The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety
protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See
your electrician for professional advice.
NOTE: Your heater is fitted with a safety device that switches the heater off, should the unit overheat or tip
over. If this should occur, all you need to do is:
•
Disconnect the plug from the electrical socket for at least 5 minutes.
•
Ensure the heater is not covered and nothing is obstructing any of the vents.
•
If the unit has tipped over, ensure it is placed upright on a level surface.
•
Plug the heater back into the electrical socket and switch the heater ON.
•
If the heater fails to operate and the safety device switches the heater off again, return the heater to
your nearest service centre for examination or repair.
