Tension the cover by slightly retracting the awning. Then slip down and
remove the arm sleeves from the folding arm towards the middle.
Note!
The arm sleeves must not be removed prematurely under any
circumstances! There is a high risk of accidents and danger to life!
Check again all installation steps performed. Both the arm bearing and the
seal profile must be screwed down correctly prior to removing the arm
sleeves.

Adjusting the awning
Inclination adjustment with standard arm bearing
To adjust the angle of inclination, the cassette awning PAN 7040 is equipped with an
adjusting mechanism, which enables an inclination from approx. 5° to 40°.
The angle of inclination and the horizontal position of the front rail are adjusted by the
factory.
If a modification is required, please proceed as described in the following:
Completely extend the awning.
Put an Allen key 6 mm (5) onto the adjusting spindle (4). The casing of the
awning raises or lowers by turning the key (see the figure on the following
page).
The respective arm can be adjusted easier if a second person slightly lifts
up the front rail (6).
Proceed analogously with the second adjusting mechanism. The awning
raises or lowers side by side.
Ensure that the angle of the folding arms to one another is not more than
5° during the adjustment procedure. Thus the adjustment procedure is to
be repeated several times on the left and right of the adjustment spindles
until the desired inclination is reached.
Never turn against greater resistance.
Check the correct adjustment on the front rail by means of a spirit level in
the extended condition.
