Central Ventilation Box ZEB 380
Installation and Operating Instructions
When transhipping (especially over longer distances), it must be checked
whether the packaging is suitable for the method and manner of transportation.
Damages due to improper transportation, storage or commissioning must be
verified and are not liable for warranty.
1.6 Area of application
The ZEB 380 meets the requirements of DIN 18017, pt.3 and it is suitable
for the simultaneous and central ventilation of multiple areas/rooms, such as
e.g. kitchen, dining area, bathroom, WC or the like in a single-family house or
apartment. As a central unit (assembly under roof) it takes over the ventilation of
sanitary rooms over multiple floors. It is also versatile in commercial and industrial
areas (e.g. ventilation of toilet facilities or extraction of vapours at workplaces).
The fans are suitable for conveying normal or slightly dusty, less aggressive and
humid air, at temperatures from -20 to +40 °C and in the range of their perfor-
mance curves. The unit is not suitable for use in explosive areas.
For operation under difficult conditions i.e. high humidity, longer period of
standstill, high pollution, excessive exposure to climatic, technical or electronic
influences, further inquiry and operation release is necessary as the standard
version might not be suitable.
Any use other than the intended use is not permitted. The unit must not be
operated outside or in contact with water.
1.7 Operation as room ventilation device
In order to achieve the desired fan performance, a systematic air supply is
imperative. When using chimney-dependent fireplaces in ventilated rooms, these
rooms must have sufficient supply air under all operating conditions.
1.8 Performance data
The unit type plate gives an indication of the electrical values, which must be
checked for compliance with the local circumstances. The fan performances
were determined on a test stand according to DIN 24 163, pt.2. they are valid
for the nominal speed and normal design with free suction and discharge.
Diverging designs and adverse installation- and operation conditions can lead to
a reduction of performance.
