3 .7 Electrical connection Actuator
m
Danger to life due to electric shock!
With regard to connection work on a live controller,
there is a risk of fatal electric shock.
Electrical connection work must only be carried out
by electricians. Observe the following 5 safety rules
during installation and wiring work:
− Disconnect
− Secure against reactivation
− Determine lack of voltage
− Earthing and short-circuiting
− (If necessary) cover live neighbouring parts.
The factory-installed actuator on the 3-way mixing
valve must be connected to a suitable control unit for
power supplies.
Connect the three conductors L1 red, black and white
in accordance with the wiring diagram (Fig. 19) and
the assignment of the control unit.
3 .8 Use of high-efficiency pumps
The hydraulic unit is suitable for the use of commercial high-efficiency pumps.
Changes to the thermal insulation are not permitted! If necessary, the pump head must have direct access to
the ambient air . Not maximum media temperature!
The high-efficiency pumps are controlled electronically and they have different setting options. This allows the pump to
be optimally adapted to the local installation conditions.
4 .0 Temperature sensor recording
In order to measure the flow temperature, a temperature sensor can be connected between the EPP subshell
and the ball valve.
4 .1 System ventilation
The system must be filled and ventilated before commissioning. In this respect, the permissible operating pressures
must be taken into account.
4 .2 Replacement of high-efficiency pump
In order to replace the high-efficiency pump, the ball
valves above and below the pump must be blocked.
The lower ball valve can be blocked using the provided
handle (located in the lower shell).
Alternatively, both ball valves can be blocked using a
spanner (SW12). To do so, the handle with the ther-
mometer on the upper ball valve must be removed
(Fig. 20).
4 .3 Correction factors for water glycol mixtures
The correction factors of the antifreeze agent manufac-
turer must be taken into account for the flow setting.
4 .4 Maintenance and care
The fitting is maintenance-free. The leak-tightness and functionality of the fitting and its connection points must be
checked regularly as part of the system maintenance. Good accessibility to the fitting is recommended.
4 .5 Warranty
The applicable Helios warranty conditions at the time of delivery shall apply.
