Setting Failsafe
The Rivos BL comes with the receiver failsafe set to NONE. In the event of loss of signal the motor will
stopandtheboatwilldrift.Ifthesignalisregainednormalfunctionwillreturn.Ifyouwishtoprogram
thefailsafetoacustomsettingjustfollowthesesimplesteps:
TheRivosBLspeedcontrolisequippedwithalowvoltagecutoff(LVC)circuit.WhentheLiPobattery
voltagedropstoapproximately10.6Vthespeedcontrolwillshutoffpowertothemotor.Motor
functioncanberestoredbycyclingthethrottletriggeroffandthenbackonatalowpowersetting.
Youmustceaseoperatingtheboatandrechargethedrivebattery.Repeatedlyattemptingtocontinue
operationmaydropthebatteryvoltagetodamaginglevels.
• WithboththetransmitterandreceiverpoweredON,pressthebindbuttononthereceiver
for about 3 seconds.
• ThereceiverwillenterthefailsafesettingmenuandthereceiverLEDwillflash.
• Youhaveabout3secondstomovethecontrolstothepositionthatyouwishtoprogram
into failsafe.
• Afterthe3secondsthereceiverwillsavethesettingsandreturntonormalmode.
• Ifyouwishtoresettoadifferentsetting,simplyrepeattheabovesteps.

Checkforexcesswaterinthehullaftereveryuse.Ifyoudofindexcesswaterinthehull,pay
specialattentiontoinstallingthetophatch,ensuringatightseal.
Alwaysunplugthebatteryaftereachuseandchargeitoutsideofthehull.
Afteruse,storetheboatintheshadeorinsidetopreventthesunfadingthedecoration.
Neverusechemicalstocleantheboatasthismayalsodamagethefinish.
The boat is designed for fresh water use ONLY. If the boat comes in contact with brackish or
saltywater,removebatteryandwashtheboatthroughlywithfreshwaterassoonaspossibleto
remove the salt residue.
Afterusecleantheboatusingfreshwater.Makesureyoudrytheboatinsideandoutusingadry
colth or paper towel. This will keep the hull and hatch of the boat looking clean and new.
Whenyouarefinishedusingtheboat,makesureyouremovethebatteriesfromboththeboat
andthetransmitter.Thiswillpreventdamageintheeventofabatteryleak.
