Please read these instructions before using the Stinger

Insect
Zapper and keep for future reference.
1. This product is equipped with a 2-prong plug to fit the
proper type receptacles. To reduce the risk of electrical
shock, only plug into a properly installed outlet.
2.
Do not
insert fingers or any foreign objects into the unit
while it is connected to an electrical outlet.
3. Collected insects within the unit may contribute to fire
so clean dead insects from the unit frequently.
4.
Do not
clean this product with water spray or any other
liquids.
Do not
place where it can fall into water, or near
flammable materials.
5. Store product indoors when not in use – out of reach
of children.
6. Always disconnect plug before servicing, cleaning,
changing bulbs and when not in use.
7.
Do not
abuse cord – never carry unit by cord or unplug
unit by pulling on the cord - only unplug by pulling on
the plug. Keep cord away from heat, oil, or sharp edges.
8. Extension cords used with this product must be marked
with suffix letters “W-A” and with a tag stating “Suitable
for Use with Outdoor Appliances”.
9. Use only extension cords that have plug and receptacles
that match the product plug. Replace or repair damaged
cords.
10. Electrical rating of the extension cord must be as great
as the electrical rating of the product.
11. There are devices available for retaining a connection
between an extension cord and a power supply cord.
Connections should be kept off the ground and dry.
12.
Do not
mount the unit on house, other buildings, on
decks or near heat, gas, oil or other flammable materials.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT INSECT CONTROL
The Stinger
®
Insect Zapper is designed to lure and kill a wide
range of flying insects. The ultraviolet (UV) light given off
by this unit is within the luminescent range proven effective
to lure these insects. Insects are lured to the light and killed
as they contact the electrically charged inner grid area.
Insects fall through the open base onto the ground. The
outer protective cage helps prevent pets, birds, butterflies,
and children’s fingers from contacting the charged grids.
The unit is for outdoor use only and can withstand moderate
rain. For best results, the unit should be installed in early
spring and left on continuously through the fall.

1. Este producto viene con un enchufe de dos patillas que
entra perfectamente en las tomas de corriente apropiadas.
Para disminuir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, enchufe
únicamente a una toma instalada correctamente.

No
introduzca los dedos ni objetos extraños en la unidad
mientras esté conectado a un tomacorriente.
3. Los insectos que recoja el aparato pueden provocar un
incendio: hay que retirar los insectos muertos del aparato
con frecuencia.

No
limpie este producto rociando agua u otros líquidos.
No
coloque donde pueda caer en el agua o cerca de mate-
riales inflamables.
5. Cuando no vaya a usar el aparato, guárdelo en el interior,
lejos del alcance de los niños.
6. Desenchufe siempre el aparato antes llevar a cabo su
mantenimiento, limpiarlo, cambiar la bombilla y cuando
no vaya a usarlo.

No
maltrate el cable – nunca transporte la unidad por el
cable o desenchufe el aparato tirando del cable - solamente
desenchufe tirando del enchufe. Coloque el cable lejos del
calor, el aceite y cualquier filo cortante.
8. Los cables de extensión que use con este aparato deben
llevar marcadas las letras « W-A » y una etiqueta que
indique que pueden usarse con aparatos para el exterior.
9. Use únicamente cables de extensión con enchufe y tomas
adaptadas al enchufe de este aparato. Reemplace o repare
los cables dañados.
10. Las características eléctricas del cable de extensión deben
ser tan altas como las del aparato.
11. Existen dispositivos que permiten mantener la conexión entre
un cable de extensión y el cable del aparato. La conexión no
debe tocar el suelo y debe poder mantenerse seca.
12.
No
monte la unidad en la casa, otros edificios, sobre la terraza
o cerca de calor, gas, aceite y otros materiales inflamables.
13. Para uso residencial en el exterior únicamente.

CONTROL DE INSECTOS
El Exterminador de Insectos de Stinger
®
está diseñado para
atraer y exterminar a una amplia gama de insectos voladores.
La luz ultravioleta (UV) que emite el aparato está dentro de la
gama luminosa probada para atraer dichos insectos. Los insectos
son atraídos hacia la luz y mueren en cuanto entran en la zona de
las rejillas internas cargadas eléctricamente. Los insectos caen
al suelo por la base abierta. La caja protectora externa sirve para
impedir que animales domésticos, pájaros, mariposas y dedos de
niños toquen las rejillas cargadas. El aparato está diseñado para
uso exterior únicamente pudiendo resistir a la lluvia de intensidad
media. Para mejores resultados, la unidad debe instalarse al
iniciar la primavera y dejar operando continuamente durante
el otoño.
