13.2 LAS ALARMAS DE HUMO NO FUNCIONAN SIN

BATERÍAS.

Las unidades con baterías no pueden funcionar sin baterías, si

están desconectadas o si están descargadas, si se utilizan

baterías incorrectas o si las baterías no están instaladas

correctamente. Las unidades conectadas a la red no funcionan

si están desconectadas de la red (fusible roto, un corto circuito,

un fuego eléctrico, etc.) Si está preocupado por las limitaciones

de la batería o de la red, instale ambos tipos de unidades.

13.3 LAS ALARMAS DE HUMO NO PUEDEN DETECTAR

INCENDIOS SI EL HUMO NO ALCANZA LAS ALARMAS

El humo de las chimeneas, paredes o techos o del otro lado de

puertas cerradas puede no alcanzar la habitación donde se

encuentra la alarma. Es por eso que la unidad debe instalarse

dentro de cada dormitorio - especialmente si el dormitorio estará

cerrado por la noche - y en el pasillo entre ellos.
