Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service 

agency or the gas supplier.

  Please read these installation instructions completely before beginning installation procedures. Failure to 

follow them could cause an appliance malfunction resulting in serious injury and/or property damage.

2. 

Always check your local building codes prior to installation. The installation must comply with all local, regional, 

state and national codes and regulations.

  This Gas Log Set appliance is factory built to burn natural or propane gas. A gas conversion kit (to convert 

from natural gas to propane, or propane to natural gas) is available for the Imperial Series.

5.

  The flue damper must be open at all times when the appliance is in use.

6.

  While servicing this log set, always shut off any electricity or gas to the appliance. This will prevent possible 

electrical shock or burns. Also, make sure the fireplace is completely cooled before servicing.

7.

  Solid fuels cannot be burned in a fireplace where the decorative gas appliance is installed.

8.

  In order to install the Imperial Gas Log Set in the state of Massachusetts, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 

requires the existing fireplace damper be removed.
