OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Keypad
Function Description
Turns scale on and off. Also used when entering Calibration or Options
mode.
HOLD/RLS/
RECALL
Holds the displayed weight until the button is pressed again to release
the value. Will recall the previously locked weight if pressed when
nothing is on the scale.
UNIT
501KL Only: Toggles between pounds (LB) and kilograms (KG). If
weight measurement unit is locked, press and hold UNIT button to
display other weight measurement unit. Note: Weight measurement will
not toggle on KG models or if Everlock ® is engaged.
BMI
Prompts entry
of height data to calculate patient’s Body Mass Index
(BMI).
UP
▲
Increases height input (0.5 in / 0.5 cm increments) in BMI mode or
weight in pre-tare mode. Also used to navigate Options.
ZERO/TARE Zeroes out or tares the scale prior to a weighing.
CLEAR/
REWEIGH
Exits out of a mode or process. Also allows for repeated weighing of the
patient without requiring the patient to get off the scale.
ENTER/
SELECT
Selects an option or value.
DOWN▼
Decreases height input (0.5 in / 0.5 cm increments) in BMI mode or
weight in pre-tare mode. Also used to navigate Options.
