1 Safety instructions
1.1 Intended use
The thermocouple type K, ITC-K1000 is used exclusively
for determining temperatures within the dimensioning
limits given in the specifications and in combination with
the QuantumX MX809B from HBM.
The ITC-K1000 thermocouple is intended for use in the
environment defined in the specifications. The lead must
not be routed through outdoor areas. The storage and
transport conditions are also listed in the specifications at
the end of this document. The thermocouple must not be
used if there is a danger of explosion or together with
aggressive chemical effects or radioactive radiation.
Any person assigned to carry out assembly, connection
or operation of thermocouples type ITC-K1000 must
have read and understood the operating manual and in
particular the technical safety instructions. In the inter­
ests of safety, the entire measurement chain should only
be operated in areas with an elevated hazard level by
qualified personnel (see below) and as described in the
operating manual.
It is also essential to comply with the legal and safety
requirements for the relevant application during use.
The ITC-K1000 thermocouple is not intended for use as
a safety component. Please also refer to the "Additional
safety precautions" section.
