ASSEMBLY AND USE
INTENDED USE
a. Assembly of the chain guide
IMPORTANT: The machine must not be started
during assembly. Wear protective gloves when
handling the blade.
1) Pull the guard toward the front handle to check that the
chain brake is not engaged.
2) Loosen the nuts and remove the chain cover.
3) Attach the bracket to the rear of the engine assembly with
a screw.
4) Install the guide and mount the chain on the pinion and
guide in the direction shown in the diagram.
5) Loosen the nuts and remove the chain cover.
6) Install the guide and mount the chain on the pinion and
guide in the direction shown in the diagram.
7) Adjust the chain tensioning nut in the lower hole of the
guide. Then install the chain and secure the mounting nut.
8) Adjust the chain tension by turning the tension screw until
the straps touch just the bottom side of the bar.
