Use the pack contents to identify and check all the components. The goal
will be assembled in six stages as shown in Fig 2.
- Lay the crossbar (1), and uprights (2) on the
ground with the slots facing upwards and slide 2 square head bolts (9) into
the slots at both ends of the each crossbar, and 3 square head bolts into the end of
each upright.
Identify the crossbar edge using the identification label attached. Feed
the crossbar edge through the net holders (14) at each end of the crossbar as
shown in Fig. 6 and fix in place using an M6 x 10mm SKT button (15). Attach
the remainder of the net using the Euro Net hooks (25). Slot the net into the
hook, then slot the hook into the section and twist to lock in. Place one hook
every other mesh in the crossbar, and every other mesh in the uprights and
sidebars as shown in Fig. 6.

- Slide the upright onto the crossbar. Fit the Steel L Plate (11) onto
the bolts in the crossbar and the uprights and secure with washers (10) and
nuts (13). One square headed bolt should be left in the upright, this will be used
to fix the braces (3) further on in the assembly.
- Insert 5 square head bolts (9) (*7 if optional wheels are to be
fitted) into the sidebar (4) and fit the Joint Plate (12) with washers (10) and
nuts (13) (hand tighten 3 nuts and fasten the last enough to stop the plate sliding
down the section when the sidebar is lifted into position). Lift the side bar into a
vertical position and slide onto the upright. loosen the joint plate and slide into
position then fasten as shown in Fig. 5. Place an aluminium football spacer (16)
on each free bolt in the upright and backbar, fit a portagoal brace (3) onto the
spacers and fix in place using an M10 nut (13), as shown in Fig. 5, taking care to
ensure theat the sidebar is 90° to the upright. The goal will now resemble Fig.
2.2.
Evenly space yourselves around the goal, and slowly lift the goal onto its side
bars. If you have optional flip over wheels to fit, you will need to fit a further 4
square head bolts into the slot on each sidebar (these bolts will be supplied with
flip over wheels).
- Place the backbar (7) behind the goal, with the slots facing
upwards. Then slide 1 square headed bolt into each end of the backbar (*2 if
optional wheels are to be fitted) and 2 square head bolts into the ends of each
sidebar (*4 if optional wheels are to be fitted). Slide one Euro Portagoal Net
Support Bracket (6) into each end of the backbar and fix in place using two M10
x 30 Cap Screws (20). Take the backbar and bracket assembly and slide it into
the sidebars as shown in Fig. 2.4. Again, secure in place with two Cap Screws
(20).
- Take the Aluminium Net Bar ( 5) and weave it into the meshes at
the back of the net. At each end of the net bar, slide on an Ali Netbar Bracket
(22). Place a Net Bar Bracket Plate (23) over the two free bolts in each sidebar
and place the bracket on top, at this stage hand tighten only, two Hex Head Binx
Nuts (21) as shown in Fig. 8.
