Chapter 2 | Installation and Setup

InfoCaster R2100 Hardware Installation Manual

Note:

The audio I/O are user-configurable, allowing any device to be 
connected to any of the ports in any configuration.

The Connected Device dialog box opens asking which device you plugged 
in. Check which device you plugged in, and click OK. 

Figure 2-31. Connected Device Dialog

In the Analog section of the control panel, a corresponding image of your 
selection is displayed, along with a color-coded cable image indicating 
which port the device is plugged into. 

If a device is connected incorrectly, a small red and white arrow appears 
beneath the non-supported device, as shown in 

Figure 2-32

.

Note:

If you plug in an input device and select an output setting from the 
connected device list, a warning pops up indicating the device type 
is not supported. For example, you cannot plug in a microphone 
and select Line Out, because this device cannot perform the 
function you selected.
