Problem: What to check:
Oil leaks

Housing bolts may be lose

Oil seals may need replaced
Gearbox overheats

Oil level may be too low

Dirt or grease may have accumulated around the
gearbox
Gear box vibrates, is very noisy

Oil level may be too low

Components may be worn or damaged

Load may be excessive

Refer to the Standard Torque Chart when-
ever bolts, nuts or screws are tightened.

Standard Torque Chart
Note: When tightening two or more
fasteners on the same part, DO
NOT tighten the fasteners
completely one at a time. To avoid
distortion, first tighten all fasteners
in sequence to one-third of torque
value, then tighten to two-thirds of
torque value, then tighten to full
value.
