Replacing a power cooling module

Replacing a power cooling module

The MediaStore is equipped with two hot-swappable power cooling modules. If one fails, the load

is transferred to the remaining module without interruption to service. To take full advantage of the

redundancy, Harmonic recommends that you use separate, isolated power sources for each AC input.

DANGER:

Observe all conventional ESD precautions when handling Spectrum devices

and components.

CAUTION:

Do not remove the faulty power supply unless you have a replacement of the

correct type ready for installation. Do not leave a power supply slot empty for more than ten

minutes. Doing so will cause the MediaStore to overheat, which will result in component

failure.

1. Make sure that you identify the faulty power supply module.
