COOLANT SYSTEM

CLEAN THE COOLANT FILTER

- CAUTION -

Be sure to drain the coolant pump along with the rest of the coolant system. Fail-
ure to drain the pump could result in damage if the temperature in the storage
area goes below 32° F [0° C].

CLEANING PROCEDURE

1. Verify the machine is powered down.

2. Open rear access doors "J", Figure 2.8.

3. Wipe filter head "Q" and filter housing "R", Figure 2.16, clean with a lint-free cloth.

- WARNING -

Spilling fluid on the floor can create a slipping hazard. Spilled fluid must be
cleaned up immediately.

- CAUTION -

Dispose of coolant in the filter housing in accordance with all applicable govern-
ment guidelines. DO NOT introduce the coolant back into the coolant system.

4. Remove the nut on the top of the filter unit to

release the filter housing from the filter head.

5. Remove the filter element from the filter body.

6. Allow the coolant in the filter element to drain

into the filter housing.

7. Properly dispose of the coolant in the filter

housing.

8. Clean the filter element and the inside of the

filter housing.

9. Install the filter element in the filter body.

10. Slide the filter housing up into mounting

position on the filter head.

11. Install the nut on the top of the filter unit to

secure the filter housing to the filter head.

12. Close rear access doors "J", Figure 2.8.
