Open the Cover Plate and dry prism with a clean flannel cloth.

Open the Cover Plate, and using the supplied PVC Droppers, place one or two
drops of the liquid to be tested on the Prism. Immediately close the Cover
Plate and press it lightly.
Caution: Avoid burns. Use care when handling battery acid. If battery acid is
spilled on a person’s skin, contact a physician immediately.

Read the reticle (internal meter). Note reading where the light and dark areas
merge.

If testing propylele glycol coolant, read the freezing point (in Fahrenheit) on
the left side of the center scale (A).

If testing ethylene glycol coolant, read the freezing point (in Fahrenheit) of the
right side of the center scale (B).
•
If testing battery fluids, view the scale on the left side (C) to determine if the
battery is in Fair or Good condition, or needs Recharging.
7.
Clean the Prism and inside Cover with a clean, moist gauze after using. Dry
with a clean, soft flannel cloth.
8.
When finished, wash and rinse out the PVC dropper. Carefully place the unit
in the Case and store in a clean and dry location.
Note: There are no replaceable parts for this unit.
