Step 3 - Remove the Lid
●
Unlock the lid to remove it.
● Use a small flathead or Phillips screwdriver.
●
Turn the lock counter clock-wise to unlock.
● The lid is in the
unlocked
position when the
long
slot is pointing at the open padlock engraving.
●
Press the blue button in, and lift up to release the lid.
●
The lid will slide away from the chassis and can be removed.
Step 4 - RAID and BBU Add-in Removal and Installation
●
Remove the screw(s) holding the card(s) in place.
● Do not misplace the screw(s).
●
Disconnect the mini-SAS cable from the RAID card.
●
If the RAID card is being replaced:
● Disconnect the RAID card from the BBU.
●
If the BBU is being replaced:
● Disconnect the BBU from the RAID card.
● It will be necessary to clip the zip-ties holding the cables to the BBU PCB.
