Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you
can correct the malfunction.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can put
your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to
carry out this repair work.

Fans and lighting not
working.
The appliance is
disconnected from
the mains.
Check to ensure that the mains plug is
positioned correctly. Check the socket by
connecting another electric device. Check the
house fuse.
Lighting not working.
LED bulb is defective. Call our Customer Service (see page EN-24).
Odours are no longer
sufficiently removed /
week airflow.
The filters are dirty.
Clean the grease filter and/or replace the
active carbon filter (see from page EN-21).
Motor stops after a
few minutes
The appliance has
overheated and
tripped the internal
circuit breaker.
The appliance does not receive enough air
supply. This is why you need to provide a
sufficient air supply, e.g. by providing non-
sealable openings in doors, windows and
ventilation conduits.

Poor performance
of the exhaust hood
when in exhaust air
operation.
The hood does not
have a sufficient air
supply.
The hood can expel a large amount of exhaust
air. This is why you need to provide a sufficient
air supply, e.g. by providing non-sealable
openings in doors, windows and ventilation
conduits.

The exhaust air hose
is bent or too long.
Check whether the exhaust air hose is bent or
too long.
Grease is dripping off
the appliance
Grease filter is
clogged.
Clean the grease filters (see from page EN-21).
Buzzing sound
