Attaching the water drain
hose (optional)
WARNING
Risk of scalding!
The drain water is very hot. If it comes
into contact with skin, it can cause
scalding.
■ Securely attach the water drain hose
to a drain or bath to prevent it from
slipping due to the recoil caused by
pumping.
■ When connecting to a drain, ensure
that the cross section of the dis-
charge pipe is large enough that the
drain does not overflow.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to property damage.
■ Use only the included water drain
hose.
■ Do not extend the water drain hose
or replace it with another hose.
■ Do not kink or twist the water drain
hose.
■ Make sure that the utility sink is no
higher than 90 cm above the floor.
This is the only way to ensure proper
functioning of the water drainage.
■ Make sure that the distance between
the water drain hose and the utility
sink does not exceed 100 cm.
■ Make sure that the end of the hose is
not submerged in the water that has
been pumped out.
If you connect the water drain hose (19), con-
densate from the appliance will be drained off
directly through the hose and will no longer
end up in the condensate drawer (9) .
It may happen that the “Condensate drawer
full” indicator may illuminate even if the water
drain hose is connected . In this case, ensure
that the water drain hose is installed correctly
(not kinked and not more than 120 cm) .
1 . Detach the water hose on the rear of the
appliance .

2 . Connect the water drain hose (19) to the
water hose by inserting the connector
(20) into the ends on both the hoses .
