Standard setting
When the appliance is switched on the first
time, the standard temperature setting is 5 °C
for the fridge compartment and –18 °C for the
freezer compartment
If you do not touch the control panel or if the
door is not opened within 30 seconds, the con-
trol panel is locked and the display goes off.
Locking/unlocking the control
panel
• To lock the control panel, press and hold
the holiday setting/lock button (19) for 3
seconds. The lock symbol (16) appears, a
tone sounds and the buttons are locked.
• To unlock the control panel, press and
hold the holiday setting/lock button for 3
seconds. The lock symbol disappears,
a tone sounds and the buttons are un-
locked.
Setting the temperature
Fridge compartment
The temperature range in the fridge compart-
ment is 2 to 8 °C.
• To set the temperature in the fridge com-
partment, press the fridge temperature
button (17).
The temperature is reduced by 1 °C each
time you press the button. If the setting
reaches 2 °C, it jumps back to 8 °C the
next time you press.
The ideal temperature for the fridge is +6 °C.
Freezer compartment
The temperature range in the freezer com-
partment is –24 to –16 °C.
• To set the temperature in the freezer com-
partment, press the freezer temperature
button (18).
The temperature is reduced by 1 °C each
time you press the button. If the setting
reaches –24 °C, it jumps back to –16 °C
the next time you press.
The ideal temperature for the freezer is
−
18 °C.
Configuring operating mode
Rapid-cooling

The rapid-cooling symbol (21) disappears.
After 6 hours, the appliance will automat-
ically exit the ‘Rapid-cooling’ mode and
return to the previously set fridge temper-
ature.
Rapid-cooling is switched off when you select
the holiday setting.
Rapid-freezing

3 seconds. The ‘Rapid-freezing’ function
automatically turns off after 26 hours. The
appliance will then automatically return to
the previously set temperature.
Rapid-freezing is switched off when you se-
lect the holiday setting.
