Using and caring for the hob
Each touch of the sensors or
reduces or increases the time by 1
minute. Touching and holding the sensors
or reduces or increases the time by 10
minutes.
Setting the cooking time limit
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
If you use the cooking time limit func-
tion and leave foods unattended, they
may burn and catch fire.

Make sure that children aged 8 years
or less do not have access to the glass
ceramic hob and food which is cook-
ing if unsupervised.
■
Cancelling the cooking time limit does
not end the cooking process itself.
You should therefore always switch
off the hob or the cooking zone if you
want to stop a cooking process.

Ensure that your food does not burn.
■
If you are cooking foods in oil, fat or
with alcohol, do not leave the glass
ceramic hob unattended. The food
may spontaneously ignite.
■
Cover the cookware with a lid imme-
diately if the food inside is burning!
■
Never attempt to extinguish burning
oil or fat with water!
Cooking time limit for one cooking
zone
Requirement: The hob is switched on.
1. Touch the cooking zone sensor (7) of the
cooking zone for which you want to set
the cooking time limit.
2. Set the desired heat level.
3. Set the desired cooking time limit by
pressing the Plus sensor (10) or the
Minus sensor (9) while the cooking
zone indicator is still blinking.
The timer indicator will flash.
After 5 seconds, the timer indicator will be
constantly illuminated and will count down
the set time.
The red dot next to the cooking zone indi-
cator shows that a cooking time limit has
been set for this cooking zone.
Once the set time has elapsed, a beep will
sound and the timer indicator will show “
– –
”.
The cooking zone will switch off.
4. To switch off the cooking time limit in the
interim, touch the cooking zone sensor of
the active cooking zone.
The indicator for that cooking zone will
flash.
