Page EN-30 Installation, fitting, connection
There is a washer in an unused exhaust
manifold that prevents water from es-
caping here. This washer must be replaced
by a seal ring before connecting the outlet
hose.
Connecting the inlet hose
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
The dishwasher is set up for water pres-
sure of 0.4 bar to 10 bar (0.04 MPa to
1.0 MPa). Water must always be able
to run freely into the dishwasher, oth-
erwise this can damage the appliance.
■
If the water pressure is higher than
this, install a pressure reducer. If in
doubt, enquire about the water pres-
sure with the water supply company.
■
Never connect the appliance to the
water tap or the mixer fitting of a wa-
ter heater (continuous flow heater,
pressure-free boiler etc.).
■
Ensure that the inlet hose is not
kinked and is carefully connected.
■
Do not cut through the inlet hose.
It contains electrical components. If
the inlet hose is damaged, have it re-
paired by a specialist ("Service" see
page EN-40).
■
Do not use old or previously installed
inlet hoses.
3
Make sure that the appliance is con-
nected to a water supply with a safety
device that prevents drinking water
from being contaminated by backflow (ac-
cording to DIN EN 1717). Connection valves
intended for this purpose must be installed
in a suitable place in a correctly installed
drinking water system in the house. If you
are unsure, consult a qualified professional.
¾ inch
Inlet hose
For water supply, you need a water tap with
a ¾-inch screw connector.
1. Screw the safety valve’s lock nut to the
tap hand-tight.
2. Check that the connection to the water
tap is sealed. Turn on the water tap
slowly and ensure that no water is es-
caping. Then close the valve again.
Electrical connections
WARNING
Electric shock / fire hazard!
■
Prior to connecting the dishwasher,
ensure that you have taken note of all
safety instructions from page EN-4
and adhered to them.
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fire.
■
Never use multi-socket adapters, mul-
ti-socket strips, travel adapters or the
like.
Depending on the recess into which the
dishwasher will be fitted, the dishwasher
should be connected before or after fitting.
– For the electrical connection of the dish-
washer, a professional must install an
earthed power socket with its own fuse of
a sufficient size (see “Technical specifica-
tions” on page EN-43).
