Dishwasher operation
Preparation
• Read the ‘Safety’ chapter from
page EN-4, in particular the safety notic-
es.
• Set up and connect the appliance as
described in chapter „Set-up, connection
and initial start-up“ from page EN-27.
• Fill 1 L of water into the dishwasher salt
compartment (20) (see „Adding dishwash-
er salt“ on page EN-15).
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multitabs.
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Close the dishwasher door.
3. Press the On/Off button (1) in order to
switch on the dishwasher.
You will hear a signal tone and all LEDs will
illuminate briefly.
After a short time, the programme display
reading
ECO
(11) will show.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified ca-
pacity when loading your appliance and
you arrange the dishes correctly, energy
and water can be saved (see „Loading the
dishwasher“ on page EN-17).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads to
higher water and energy consumption and
is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance gen-
erally uses less energy and water than
washing by hand, provided you follow the
instructions in the user manual.
Selecting, starting and ending
the dishwasher programme
It is recommended that you carry
out a test run before the fi rst dish-
washer cycle in order to remove residues
from the manufacturing process and in
order to ensure that the appliance functions
perfectly. Carry out this test run when the
dishwasher is empty and without any dish-
washer detergent.

1. Select the suitable dishwashing pro-
gramme based on the “Programme ta-
ble”, see page EN-20.
2. Press the
P
button (5) as often as re-
quired until the display reading shows un-
der the desired programme symbol.
The display shows the programme dura-
tion.
3. Press the button (6) to start the dish-
washing programme.
The display shows the remaining duration
of the current programme. The colon be-
tween the hour and minute number will
flash to show that the programme is run-
ning.
Once the programme has finished, a signal
tone will sound and the LED to the right of the
programme symbol will stop flashing.
If no further settings are made, the appliance
will automatically switch off after 15 minutes.
