Switching off the fridge
compartment or convertible zone
If necessary, the fridge compartment and
convertible zone can be switched off.
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-14.
2. Press the CONVERTIBLE ZONE but-
ton (19) or FRIDGE button (18).
The (28) or indicator (29) will appear.
3. Press the CONVERTIBLE ZONE but-
ton (19) or FRIDGE button (18) repeatedly
until “––” is displayed.
Setting the operating modes
The appliance is equipped with three operat-
ing modes: Quick freezing, ECO mode and
Holiday mode.
Quick freezing
The “Quick freezing” operating mode rapidly
cools the freezer zone to –25 °C.
Activating quick freezing
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-14.
2. Press the MODE button (22) repeatedly
until the indicator (21) is shown on the
display.
The freezer zone temperature display
changes to –25 °C; the temperature dis-
plays for the fridge compartment and con-
vertible zone remain unchanged.
Once the desired mode is set, the dis-
play for the set mode flashes for approx.
5 seconds: The setting is completed once
it stops flashing.
Deactivating quick freezing
Quick freezing is automatically deactivated
after 50 hours.
To manually deactivate Quick freezing,
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-14.
2. Press the MODE button (22) repeatedly
until the (21),
ECO
(26) or (25) indica-
tors are no longer illuminated.
Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can
cause stored food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.

Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
If you won’t be using the appliance for a pro-
longed period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you
can activate “Holiday mode”. This will save
energy.
The fridge compartment will switch off when
“Holiday mode” is active. The temperature in
the freezer zone is kept at –18 °C.
