6. Use oven gloves or something similar to
remove the dripping pan from the oven
and pour away the remaining water.
7. Wipe the cooking compartment off with a
damp cloth or sponge.
8. Rinse off the oven rack (4), baking tray (3)
and dripping pan (5).
Pyrolytic self-cleaning function
Generally speaking, the term “pyrolysis” de-
scribes dissolving substances by applying
heat. Thanks to its pyrolytic self-cleaning
function, your oven can be effectively cleaned
of any contaminants.
Pyrolytic cleaning is a good option for when
residue cannot be easily removed with a
sponge and water.
Once the pyrolytic function has been acti-
vated, the cooking compartment heats up to
450 °C – contaminants don’t stand a chance.
They are reduced to ash which can be easily
wiped away afterwards.
Before starting the pyrolytic function, make
sure that the only objects left in the cooking
compartment are those which are resistant
to pyrolysis.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
During the pyrolytic self-cleaning pro-
cess, the exterior of the appliance also
becomes very hot.
■
Do not touch the oven door, and wait
until the appliance has cooled off,
even after the self-cleaning process is
complete.
■
Keep children away.
Fire hazard!
Loose food residue, grease and meat
juices can ignite during the pyrolytic
self-cleaning process.
■
Remove large bits of food or oth-
er contaminants from the cooking
compartment before each pyrolytic
self-cleaning process.
Health hazard!
The pyrolytic self-cleaning process de-
stroys the non-stick coating on baking
trays and moulds and toxic gases may
be emitted.
■
Never clean non-stick baking trays
and moulds in the pyrolytic self-clean-
ing process.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
During the pyrolytic self-cleaning pro-
cess, the interior of the appliance be-
comes very hot.
■
Following the pyrolytic self-cleaning
process, do not disconnect the ap-
pliance from the mains for at least
one hour so that the blower can cool
down the interior of the appliance in
a controlled manner.
The oven door locks during the pyro-
lytic self-cleaning process. The locking
mechanism will release automatically
once the interior of the appliance is suf-
fi ciently cooled off.
■
Never attempt to open the oven door
by force either during the pyrolyt-
ic process or before the cooling-off
phase has ended.
