Removing cold water and ice
Page EN-24
It is possible that ice cubes have stuck to-
gether in the ice cube container (4).
1. In this case, please remove the ice mak-
er.
2. Divide the fused ice cubes, for example
by carefully pushing on them with a plas-
tic or wooden spoon.
3. Remove ice cube clumps.
4. Divide the ice cubes evenly in the ice
cube container.
Other options are described in section "Clean-
ing the ice cube container“ on page EN-29.
In order to avoid overheating the ice maker’s
motor, the dispensing of ice will stop after
about 1 minute. In this case, wait a moment
until the motor has returned to operating tem-
perature. If you need a larger quantity of ice
cubes, take them directly from the ice cube
container instead. Section "Cleaning the ice
cube container“ on page EN-29 describes how
to remove the ice cube container from the
freezer compartment.
If there are not enough ice cubes in the ice
cube container, it may not be possible to dis-
pense any ice. If this is the case, please wait
until fresh ice cubes are produced.
In order to prevent unpleasant odours or fla-
vours from developing in the ice cubes, clean
the ice cube container on a regular basis.
You can only dispense water and ice
when the door to the freezer compart-
ment is closed. If the door is opened
during dispensing, the water or ice dis-
pensing will end automatically.
If the signals , or are not visi-
ble, press the (24) DISPENSER button
once. The signal will appear on the dis-
play.
Switching on the ice maker
If you are dispensing cold water or ice for the
first time or following an extended locking of
the ice maker, you need to prepare the appli-
ance as follows:

(2)
1. Remove the locking box (32) from the ice
dispenser (2).
Store the locking box in a safe place in case
you need to lock the ice maker in future.
2. If applicable, unlock the control panel by
pressing the LOCK/UNLOCK button (21).
3. Press the ICE OFF button (29) to unlock
the ice maker.
4. Remove any cold water from the ice mak-
er until it flows free of bubbles from the
ice and chilled water dispenser. In doing
so, the ice maker should be flushed with
at least 5 litres of water. Proceed as de-
scribed in the following chapter. Do not
use the water you have used to rinse the
machine.
