Risks associated with appliances
with water systems
WARNING
Health hazard!
Standing water may cause damage to
health.
■
Clean water tanks if they have not
been used for 48 h; fl ush the water
system connected to a water supply if
water has not been drawn for 5 days.
■
Do not dispense water from the cold
water outlet for longer than 3 min-
utes at a time.
■
Use only fresh drinking water to fi ll
the water tank. Do not fi ll the water
tank with any other fl uids.
Risk of injury!
The improper handling of the ice maker
can lead to injury.
■
Do not insert fi ngers into the grinding
mechanism in the ice cube container!
■
Do not insert objects such as knives,
forks or similar into the grinding mech-
anism.
■
Switch off the ice maker before remov-
ing and cleaning (ICE OFF).
■
Be extremely careful when cleaning
the grinding mechanism.
■
Do not use delicate glasses or cups to
catch the ice. These could break as a
result of the difference in temperature.
The water fi lter can only fi lter out fl oat-
ing particles from the water. It does not
destroy bacteria or microbes.
■
Only connect to the drinking water
supply.
■
When using the ice maker for the fi rst
time, do not consume the ice cubes
produced during the fi rst 6 hours.
■
If the water dispenser (ice or cold wa-

a week, replace the entire water sup-

on the ice maker“ on page EN-24). Dis-

system.
■
Replace the fi lter on a regular basis
(after 6 months maximum).
CAUTION
Risk of water damage!
Faulty assembly of the water connec-
tion can result in water damage.
■
The appliance’s water pressure is set
at 2–7 bar. For higher water pressure,
a pressure regulator needs to be in-
stalled. If in doubt, enquire about the
water pressure with the water supply
company.
■
Do not connect the appliance to the
tap or mixing arm of a water heat-
er (e.g. continuous fl ow heater, pres-
sure-free boiler, etc.).
■
Ensure that the hoses are not kinked
and are carefully connected.
■
Do not extend hoses if they are too
short. In this case, contact our service
department (see page EN-43).
■
Do not use old or previously installed
hoses.
