Cleaning Recommendation for SilicaTec Sinks
To keep your SilicaTec kitchen sink looking its best, it is necessary to take proper care of it.
For best results:
• Use a granite countertop sealant to help protect your sink. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
• Always
rinse your sink with clean water and polish dry using a soft cloth after use.
• Do not
allow water to remain in the sink for long periods of time.
• Do not
allow iron or steel cookware or utensils to remain in the sink for long periods of time as this may cause rust
stains.
• Do not
expose to temperatures exceeding 535°F (279°C).
• Do not
drop objects on or in your sink. Damage caused by dropped objects is not a manufacturing defect and is not
covered by the warranty.
• A sink mat or rack (not included) may be used to help prevent damage to the sink.

Do not
leave it in contact with the sink for long periods of time.

Always
remove the mat/rack immediately after use.

Always
care for the mat/rack according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Cleaning
• Use a small amount of dish soap or another mild non-abrasive cleaner and a damp sponge for everyday cleaning. Use a
non-abrasive cleanser and a sponge to clean more stubborn messes.
• Use a commercial scale remover to remove limescale deposits. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Use an eraser sponge and water to remove pot marks.
• Do not
use these types of cleaners as they will damage your sink:

Any cleaning agent containing acid, bleach, ammonia, or any other corrosive chemical.

Abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads, scouring pads or brushes.
• Always
follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent.
• Do not
mix cleaning agents, unless directed by the manufacturer.
• After cleaning,
always
rinse the sink with clean water and polish dry using a soft cloth.
Important
• Do not allow caustic chemicals such as oven cleaners, drain cleaners, paint remover, nail polish
remover, etc. to come into contact with your sink. If this happens, flush the area immediately and
thoroughly with clean water. Polish dry using a soft cloth. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly,
and then apply a granite countertop sealant.
