Cut the slip connector so that it extends ⁹⁄₁₆" outside
the surface of the finished wall.
Install the spindle extension.
Cut the spindle extension so that it extends ¾" outside
the surface of the finished wall.
Install the escutcheon.
Lightly lubricate o-ring on the nut with white plumbers'
grease.
Install the nut. Tighten it using a 17 mm wrench.
