Troubleshooting
Read the manual thoroughly to ensure the LCD TV operates properly. If the problem persists and
is not self-serviceable, please stop using the LCD TV immediately and contact your dealer or
nearest service center for further assistance.
Cause
Remedy
No picture
a) Power indicator does not light
up.
Make sure the power cord is firmly plugged in the socket.
Make sure the power switch is turned on.
Make sure the AC socket has power.
Check the remote control and its batteries.
No picture
b) Power indicator is green.
Check if the signal cable is properly connected.
Increase the
Contrast
and/or
Brightness
.
Make sure the display is ON.
No picture
c) Power indicator is red.
The screen is on power saving mode (for PC), press any key
or moves the mouse to activate the screen again.
Make sure the display is on.
Make sure the signal cable is properly connected.
Unclear picture, Noise
Make sure the cables are connected properly and a normal
TV signal is received.
(For Scart) Make sure using the standard qualified Scart
cable.
No Sound
Make sure the audio cables are properly connected.
Make sure there is no headphone connects to the LCD.
Make sure
Mute
is not set.
Adjust the Volume.
Display is too dark or too
bright.
Lower the
Contrast
and
Brightness
of the LCD TV or the
input source.
Image does not center on the
display
Adjust the
Image Position
in the OSD menu.
Display vibration
Check if the power voltage is acceptable to specification of
the TV.
Check if the signal cables are properly connected.
An after-image remains after
the TV is turned off
This is a characteristic of a liquid crystal display (LCD), it is
not a malfunction and will disappear after a few minutes.
Distorted image
Make sure the aspect ratio is set properly.
Purple image
Check if the Proper signal type option is set: Component or
RGB.
Out of Range
Check if the LCD supports the input signal.
Green, red, blue, white dots
on screen
This is a characteristic of a liquid crystal display (LCD), it is
not a malfunction and will disappear after a few minutes.
Remote control does not
work
Check the capacity of the batteries and the orientation (+/-)
of the batteries is correct.
Remove any obstacles between remote control and the
LCD.
Check if there is a button stuck or depressed.
Make sure that the distance of the remote control from the
LCD is at a proper range (6 meters/19 feet).
Lost of password for Parental
Controls
User must select the submenu
Child Lock
in the
System
Submenu
and enter the master password:

.
User may
set a new password for confirmation.
Contact the service center for the master password.
