17. BATTERY MANAGEMENT
At power on, remaining battery percentage is displayed.
• Battery level is measured each time the LED is turned on. If the battery level is less than 10%, the
battery tag is displayed blinking and batteries need to be replaced.
• When the batteries are completely discharged, “0% bAtt” message is displayed for one second and
the instrument turns off. To continue working, replace the batteries or use an AC adapter.
4 x 1.5V AA batteries ensure 3500 normal measurements. To further preserve battery life:
• Use normal instead of averaged measurements.
• Use continuous measurements with caution, as they keep the LED on.
• Instrument automatically turns off after 15 minutes of non use.
• Backlight automatically turns off after 25 seconds of non use.
17.1. BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1. Turn off the instrument.
2. Open the batteries cover by pressing the locking clip.
3. Remove used batteries.
4. Insert four new 1.5V AA batteries in the battery compartment while paying attention to the
correct polarity..
5. Replace the cover and press it until locks in place.
6. Turn the instrument on.
Warning:
Replace batteries only in a non-hazardous area.
