2.0 EDITING KEY MAPS
To edit the key map, commands are issued using the
following format:
t ffff = <data>
Only a single thumb key (t) character is allowed, valid
thumb codes are ..
0 - no thumb key pressed
S - SHIFT Key
N - NUM
F - NUM+ALT Keys
The finger key string (ffff) consists of four characters -
the first character corresponds to the top row - with the
following designations ...
0 - no key pressed
L - left key
M - middle key
R - right key
For example, the key labeled A corresponds to a finger
designation of L000. (A value of 0000 is invalid.)
2.1 AUTO CHORD MODE
A special feature of the Interactive Programming mode
is the Auto Chord function. When enabled, pressing a
valid key combination with no other data having been

indicating that the key map has been set to its default
configuration.
Once in the Program Mode, the Twiddler2 will always
use its default key map for typing. Note that while in
the Program Mode, the mouse keys will not function.
To exit and save the changes that have been made,
press the N+S MMMM combination, and the Twiddler2
will display the following ...

Note that depending on the number of changes, saving
the key and packing the memory can take several sec-
