DRIVE CHAIN IDLERS
Drive Chain Idler - Front Unload
A round poly chain tightener is provided to adjust
tension on the roller chain between the gearbox and drive
sprocket and main apron drive shaft. Chain is properly
adjusted when there is slight deflection at the center of
the chain, then tighten so it will not turn.
NOTE:
If an idler fails to maintain proper tension, replace
the worn chain.
Drive Chain Idlers - Rear Unload
The roller chain between hydraulic motor and large reduction
sprocket is adjusted by loosening the bolts holding motor.
Slide motor downward in slots in panel until chain is tight.
Retighten the bolts holding motor.
A roller type chain tightener is provided to adjust tension
on roller chain between drive sprocket and main apron
drive shaft. Chain is properly adjusted when there is a slight
deflection at the center of the chain.
