INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE OF A HANDLER’S

r plant. It has been shipped in a new condition via an ins
u
red freight carrier.
If damage has occ
u
rred in transit, report it immediately. Fail
u
re to do so will res

lt in loss of

u
r legal right to claim damage.
II. Placement and Maintenance:
Your Handler Bench Top Dust Collector has been constructed of heavy gauge sheet steel. It is
built to provide years of service, provided you follow the suggestions listed bellow:
(1) Locate yo
u
r bench top
u
nit on a horizontally flat, st
u
rdy table. Allow for a minim
u
m of
5 to 6 inches of clearance between the side of the
u
nit and a wall or similar vertical
str
u
ct
u
re. This is to allow proper air flow thro
u
gh the aerodynamically designed d
u
st
collection system.
(2) Remove the top cover of the #76M D
u
st Collector and place a 60 watt b
u
lb (higher
wattage b
u
lbs are not recommended) into the light socket provided. Sho
u
ld yo
u
u
tilize
a polishing motor other than a
u
nit provided by Handler, make certain it contains a
gro
u
nded electrical s
u
pply cord which is properly gro
u
nded to the motor. Handler Mfg.
is not responsible for the f

nction of motors man

(3) Familiarize yo

rself with the internal parts of yo
u
r new Handler D
u
st Collector, Note
where the s
u
ction motor (#8) is located, the ON/OFF switch (#2), and the removable-
replaceable filter.The filter (#9) m
u
st be kept clean to allow for proper air flow thro
u
gh
the
u
nit. Check the filter periodically to ins
u
re it is not clogged with grinding and
polishing debris.When the filter becomes filled, replace it with a new Handler sanitized
filter to ins
u
re proper f
u
nction of yo
u
r d
u
st collector. NOTE: Use of other filters of
ins
u
fficient density and proper size may void the warranty. Replace the filter with a
#76MF-12 x 20 x 2 filter obtainable from yo
u
r distrib
u
tor or from Handler Mfg.
(4) Replace the top cover of yo
u
r #76M and connect the cordset to a gro
u
nded
115V/60Hz o
u
tlet, ONLY, having s
u
fficient amperage rating. If the nearest o
u
tlet is not
properly gro
u
nded, contact a locally licensed electrician to change the o
u
tlet so that
the
u
nit may be operated properly and gro
u
nded.
DO NOT
remove the third
gro
u
nding prong on the cordset. If this is removed, the warranty is void, and damage
will occ
u
r to the
u
nit.
(5) Yo
u
r 76M is made to accommodate a clear acrylic safety shield.This m
u
st be fitted to
the
u
nderside of the top inclined s
u
rface before yo
u
u
se the 76M. Use the bolts and
n
u
ts s
u
pplied, to attach the shield. Please remove the protective paper covering prior
