The instructions apply to seat with forward tilt for Combi chairs for hip patients.
Intended use
The seat with hardware can be installed on the Combi chair self propelled, Combi chair standard, Combi chair low, and
Combi chair wide. The seat is installed on the frame, and permits the use of the Combi chair by hip patients or trauma
patients who either cannot bend at the hips, or who have reduced hip flexibility after an operation. It can be adjusted to 5
degrees or 10 degrees.
Installation
Remove the standard seat from the Combi chair. Remove the snaplock clips (1) in the backrest, and remove the back-
rest. Fold up the armrests.
Remove the holders (2) from the seat with hardware by loosening the screws (3) and the disc (4) using an Allen key. Take
the positioning bolts (5) out of the notches to remove the holders. Remove the screws (6) and the spacers (7) from the
holders. The holders (2) can now be installed on the back of the frame. Place the holders between the armrest and
backrest. Replace the spacers (7) into the holders and tighten the screws (6). To install the seat, insert the two rods (8)
on the seat through the holes in the holder (2). Install the screws (3) and the disc (4) with the Allen key. Snap the front of
the seat (9) tightly down over the frame. Place the backrest and press the snaplock clips (1) back into the frame.
Adjustment and use
When the seat is to be tilted, pull the positioning bolts on both sides out of the notches, so that the seat can be adjusted
to the desired angle and height.
Then reinstall the positioning bolts into the notches on both sides. The seat can be adjusted to 3 different heights.
When cleaning, lift the front edge of the seat up 90 degrees, so that the bottom surface can easily be cleanend.
Maintenance
The hardware and seat can be cleaned with common cleaning solutions without abrasives or etching properties. It is not
recommended to use solvents or chlorine.
