2. Fitting the roof canvas.
a. Lay out the canvas on the ground next to the
frame, with the inside (the side with the eyelets)
downwards and the edges with the straps
towards the front and rear walls
b. Fix lines through the eyelets in each end of
the canvas. If enough people work to assemble
the tent, it is easier to also have a line in the
middle of the canvas (Fig. L).
c. Pull the canvas over the frame using the
lines (Fig. M) so that the canvas is centred. The
canvas should be sticking out an equal distance
at all 4 corners.
d. Insert the strap ends into the corners of the
tensioner (13).
e. Hook in the tensioner’s S-hook into the hole
in the corner foot piece and ratchet the tensioner
lever forwards and backwards to tighten the strap
and canvas. Do not pull too hard.
f. Thread a line through the hole in the canvas
around the lower stay to secure the canvas
(Fig. N).
