1. Unpacking:
a. Unpack the unit at close proximity of it’s final location to avoid damage while moving the unit.
b. Insure that all packaging and printed materials are disposed before operation of the unit.
i. There is protective Styrofoam packaging located inside the back of the wood cabinet which
must be removed before operating the unit to insure proper ventilation of the coolers.
ii. There is packaging located inside the cooler holding the racks which must be removed.
2. Selecting a Location:
a. This unit is for Interior Home-Use only. To minimize the risk of rusting, leakage and insulation
damage, avoid placing the unit in a place where heavy moisture is present. Under no
circumstances spill or directly apply water onto or into the unit.
b. Do not install this unit in any location not properly insulated or heated (such as a garage)
c. Select a suitable location for the unit on a hard even surface away from direct sunlight or heat
source (ie. radiators, baseboard heaters, cooking appliances, etc.) and avoid placing the unit
where there may be electrical interference.
3. Installation :
a. Simply plug the unit into a suitable power outlet (115V ~60Hz 15A) with proper grounding.
Then gently push the wood cabinet against the selected wall.
b. Avoid the use of three plug adaptors and do not alter the plug under any circumstance.
c. Avoid the use of an extension cord because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade
grounding plug and a 3-slot outlet that will accept the plug. The marked rating of the extension
cord must be equal or greater that the electrical rating of the appliance.
4. Venting:
a. The cooler is rated for built-in use. However, proper ventilation must still be maintained in
order to insure the proper function and reliability of the unit.
b. There are vents and openings strategically located on the wood cabinet in order to insure air flow.
Neither block-off these areas nor modify the cabinet under any circumstance.
c. Do not overfill your Cooler for proper internal air circulation.
5. Operating the Unit:
a. General Features (fig. 1)
i. Your Cooler will automatically maintain the temperature level
you select. The thermostat is divided into 7 level swith a temperature
setting in between each one. At first, set the dial to MAX for 3 hours
before adjusting the temperature to your needs.
ii. The actual cabinet temperature in a thermal electric unit is
dependant on the ambient room temperature. When the ambient
temperature is below the set temperature the Cooler will not operate
until the ambient temperature increases to higher than the
set temperature.
b. Cooler Interior Shelf (fig. 2)
To adjust, remove or replace a full-width slide-out shelf:
i. Gently tilt the shelf up and slide forward until the shelf has
been completely removed.
ii. To replace the shelf, gently slide the shelf back.
