2. General notes
2.1 Warranty and liability
Warranty and liability claims for damage to person and property are excluded if they can be traced back to
one or several consequential causes:
• Improper use of the table base
• Incorrect assembly and initial operation of the table base
• Disregard for the notes in the operating instructions
• Unauthorised structural modification of the table base
• Inadequate maintenance and repair measures
• Catastrophe caused by the influence of a foreign body or an Act of God
2.2 Target group for the operating instruction
The operating instructions are directed at the operator of the electrically adjustable table base.
2.3 Objectives of the operating instruction
These operating instructions serve as support and include all the necessary notes to be observed for
installation and use.
These operating instructions with all the safety notes must:
• Be read, observed and understood by all persons that install or repair the
table base; This is particularly valid for the safety notes
• Be freely accessible for all in the target group named above
• Referred to in cases of even the slightest doubt (safety)
Objectives:
• Preventing accidents
• Increasing the lifespan and reliability of the table base

3.0 Explanations of symbols and notes
The following names and symbols for risks are used in the assembly and operating instructions:
This symbol means an immediate threat of risk to the life and health
of persons. Non-adherence to these notes can lead to serious health
effects through to life-threatening injuries and death.
This symbol indicates an important note. Non-observance can lead to
damage to the frame.
Do not place objects or parts of the body under the table frame or
between the cross members. Non-observance can lead to serious
injury or death.
Only burden the table frame with the maximum intended load.
Overloading can leave to breakage and to serious injury.
Contact with electrical voltage can lead to serious injury and to
electrocution.
