Chocolate Dessert Waffles

In a small mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until well blended. Add egg and
vanilla and blend until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.
Spray grids with cooking spray. Pour batter onto waffle maker. Remove and serve
topped with vanilla ice cream.
Makes 2 cups batter.
Easy Cake Waffles
9 oz. box 1-layer yellow cake mix
In a medium bowl, mix cake mix according to package directions. Pour onto waffle
maker. Remove and serve topped with ice cream and fudge sauce.
Vanilla Waffles
