Whole Grain Waffles

2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder
In a large bowl, mix together flour, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and baking powder. Set
aside. In a small bowl whisk together milk, oil, and egg. Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients
and stir until just combined. Pour batter onto waffle maker.
Makes 3 cups (750 ml) batter.
Buckwheat Waffles

2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking powder
In a large bowl, mix together the buckwheat flour, flour, sugar, baking powder, and
salt. Set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and butter. Pour egg
mixture into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour batter onto waffle maker.
Makes 4 cups (1 L) batter.
Apple Cinnamon Stix
