Sanitizing
If the Immersion Blender will not be used again within one hour, sanitize in the following manner:
1.
Wash as instructed. (
)
2.
Following general cleaning, immerse attachment
in a container of a cold, chlorine-based
sanitizing solution that has a minimum chlorine
concentration of 100 parts per million for one
minute. See recommended solution below.
3.
Do not rinse. Allow attachment to air-dry
before use.
Recommended Sanitizing Solution:
The sanitizing solution should consist of one
tablespoon (14.8 mL) of household bleach per one
gallon (3.8 L) of clean, cool water (minimum 75–120°F
[24–49°C]) mixed according to the instructions on
the bleach. When using a sanitizing solution other
than that recommended, the sanitizing solution
concentration should be tested using commercially
available test strips and should indicate a chlorine
concentration between 100 and 200 parts per million.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
Immersion Blender
will not turn on.
• Make sure Immersion Blender is plugged in, then check for a blown fuse or
tripped breaker.
Excessive noise.
• Make sure Blade Assembly is properly installed and Blade does not come in
contact with sides or bottom of container.
Motor strains or
stops.
• Reduce amount of food in container or pot. Mix thick products in smaller
batches. Make sure ingredients are prepared properly for blending or mixing.
• This Blender is equipped with motor overload protection. If motor stops during
operation due to overheating, unplug and allow the Blender to cool down for
15 minutes. Plug Blender back in after 15 minutes to resume normal operation.
Poor results.
• Process for a longer or shorter period of time. Adjust blending speed. Use
a gentle up and down motion when mixing to help circulate and draw up
ingredients to provide more consistent mixing results.
Splashing or
splattering.
• Use deeper container for mixing and blending to help prevent splashing and
splattering.
