The following screen formats (screen aspect rations) are available:
Pan Scan 4:3 Display of a wide picture on the entire screen
whereby unnecessary areas are cut out. Select
this option if you have connected a TV set with the
standard screen (4:3).
Letter Box 4:3 Display of a wide picture with two black bands
at the top and bottom of the screen. Select this
option if you have connected a TV set with the
standard screen (4:3).
16:9
16:10 The picture is compressed and displayed as a full-
screen picture. Select this setting if the device is
connected to wide-screen television. If you select
this option for a normal television, the picture will
be distorted because of vertical compression.
 Use the ▼▲ navigation buttons to select the desired picture
format.
 Press the Enter button to confirm selection and activate the
setting.
Setting the video system
 Select the submenu "Video" and the menu item "TV standard"
as described in the section "Opening the setup menu and
navigating" .
The selected menu item with the corresponding setting values (set-
ting options) appears on the screen.
You can adapt the TV standard of the outgoing video signal (the
colour transmission system) to the connected television under menu
item "TV standard" . The following TV standards (systems for colour
transmission) are available here: HDMI Auto, NTSC, PAL, 480p,
576p, 720p 50 Hz, 720p 60 Hz, 1080i 50 Hz, 1080i 60 Hz,
1080p 50 Hz, 1080p 60 Hz.
 Use the ▼▲ navigation buttons to select the desired TV stan-
dard.
 Press the Enter button to confirm selection.
